Slow motion stampede
Squint your mind and you can see
Bodies bolt rear and whirl, turn their backs and fly
Trample the weaker ones on their way that the mightiest might survive
And there’s a herd of human beings
In a slow motion stampede
Our heroes and our leaders steal away with all they can
Right down to the street children this becomes the law of the land
All we really believe in is the evil of man
No one has the faith to lead or invest in a plan
No one wants to be left behind to do what’s right
To teach or heal costs too many troops so follow in the fright
Slow motion stampede, Squint your mind and you can see
Bodies bolt rear and whirl, turn their backs and fly
Trample the weaker ones on their way that the mightiest might survive
And there’s a herd of human beings In the slow motion stampede
Vultures hover, parasites cling in complicity
Hide the spoils hoard the food, snuff the whistle blowers
Quaking in our armor we can pretend we don’t see
Only smell the battles where we’ve bet all our money
We leave our own wounded in the dust, to heal costs too much time
But if you don’t tend to your wounds, the whole body will surely die
Oh stop the slow motion stampede, Squint your mind and you can see
Bodies bolt rear and whirl, turn their backs and fly
Trample the humble on their way that the ruthless should survive
No one wants to be left behind to do what’s right
So we silently shut our hearts and minds and follow in the fright
And there’s a herd of human beings in the slow motion stampede
Is it you, Is it me - in the slow motion stampede
With all our soaring progress and high mentality
Just what kind of creatures are we finally
Oh stop the slow motion stampede, there is a slow motion stampede
Trample me I won't make sound, trample me I won't make a sound
Trample me I won't make sound, trample me I won't make a sound
